The UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) is the admissions test most UK universities use for medicine and dentistry. It is a computer-based test of just under two hours, taken at Pearson VUE test centres in the UK and abroad, including India.
Abstract Reasoning was removed from 2025. The test now has four subtests: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning are each scored 300 to 900 (total 900 to 2700), and Situational Judgement is reported in Bands 1 to 4.

Can I take the UCAT in India?
Yes. The UCAT is taken at Pearson VUE test centres, including centres across India. You choose the centre and date when you book.
What is the new UCAT format?

How is the UCAT scored?
